this time of year is always stressful for me. the high of the new year has warn off, there’s still snow on the ground, mid-terms are in full swing, and there’s no end of school in sight. the only thing getting me through the days is the sacred week in the middle of the semester, perfectly positioned at a time where if it is any later, I’m sure I would die from stress ulcers: SPRING BREAK.
the one week where you have (normally) nothing to do and are finally able to catch up on sleep and breathe. but for those days where you think you’re going to burst, and spring break may still be weeks away, you’ve got to do something.
I’m a firm believer in being mentally healthy, and in order to do that, I do something everyday that I look forward to, that gives me a break or makes all the work worth it. whether that be, going shopping, taking a bath, eating your favorite snack, watching an episode of your favorite show, having dinner with friends, or pampering yourself. that way, it’s easy to find good in every day.
so today, I’m sharing some of my favorite ways to give myself a mini vacation, right at home.
